NPSS and Prespatou School were selected to take part in the Edison Motors Go Kart challenge. Both schools were tasked with creating and building an electric go Kart, some parts were provided but all the design and fabrication were left to the schools. There were 4 competitions; barrel races, a sled pull, off-road course and speed course. The rules were vague and 20 different schools showed up with vastly different designs. Prespatou focused on agility, while NPSS focused on off-road.  Both teams performed great and learned a lot! NPSS got 3rd in tractor pull and Prespatou won an innovative design award. Students are excited and already talking about designs for next year’s competition.
