On Thursday NPSS students participated in the ‘My Strength is Not for Hurting’ violence against women campaign. Constable Neustaeter presented to the school on the signs of an unhealthy relationship, local statistics on violence, and what can be done to get help. Ade and Jaimie discussed the topic of consent, Shaunti and Caden highlighted the current tragedy of local missing and murdered Indigenous women. Ms. Aulin organized many events and workshops throughout the day on the topics of healthy relationships, healing, marginalization, racism, toxic masculinity, mental health awareness, healthy role models, self-expression, sexuality, and gender.
