Dear Parents/Caregivers,

The RCMP recently brought a safety concern involving threat-related behaviour at North Peace Secondary School to our attention. As a result of this concern, the RCMP have initiated an investigation. You may also notice an increased law enforcement presence on school property while this matter is being addressed.

The safety and well-being of our students and staff remains our highest priority. We are working closely with the RCMP and supporting their investigation. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, and out of respect for privacy considerations, we are unable to share additional details at this time.

We recognize that situations such as this can generate questions and discussion within the community. We encourage families to rely on information shared directly by the school and school district and to avoid speculation or the spread of unverified information.

We want to assure you that we take all reports of potential safety concerns seriously and will continue to work closely with law enforcement to maintain a safe learning environment for all students and staff.
