Grad 12’s- Grad Transition Reminder

In order to graduate in June, all Grade 12 students must complete, for 4 credits, the Grad Transitions Program. To receive the 4 credits, students are required to complete 8 assignments in addition to filling out their DPA (Daily Physical Activity) online from September to June.  April 12th is the cut-off for Term 3 and all Grade 12’s should try to have 6/8 assignments (plus all DPA up to March) completed.  The final cutoff for ALL GT material is June 18th!

NPSS Grizzlies Update: March 14

Senior Boys Basketball was down in Vancouver competing at AAAA Provincials last week. The boys drew a tough opponent in their first game on Wednesday night, matching up against #1 seed Holy Cross. The Grizzlies started the game slow,

Grizzlies Update: March 4

The Senior Girls Basketball Team was in Vancouver last week competing at the AAA Provincial Championships. The Grizzlies drew #1 seed and eventual tournament champions Semiahmoo Totems in the first round on Wednesday night. It was a tough first game for the girls with a final score of 29-90.

For FSJ Seniors, From NPSS Sr. Alt: Happy Valentines Day

Sr Alt has been working hard making Valentine’s cards and cookies for our Valentines for Seniors project. With NPSS closed yesterday, we had to ask for help; Leigh Anne baked us some cookies to add to the ones already baked in Mark’s class and we were able to borrow space at Robert Ogilvie to finish decorating.

Writer and musician Brendan McLeod visited NPSS today to perform a monologue about struggles with obsessions, mental health, and friendships. Students wishing to find out more about the topics discussed in the presentation can visit the counselling office.

NPSS Student to Exhibit Artwork at Alberta University of the Arts

NPSS student Wonhye Jeong submitted her artwork and an artist statement for the ‘Show Off! High School Art Competition, sponsored by the Alberta University of the Arts. Her art will be showcased in AUArts’ Main Mall public viewing area from March 11-23.
