Dear Graduates, Parents and Guardians:

It is hard to believe that we are 52 school days from Graduation. Planning is well underway for the celebration of all your hard work! The Graduation Ceremony will take place on Friday, June 19,2026, at the North Peace Arena, starting at 1:30 pm.

We kindly ask for assistance from graduates and their parents to help decorate the arena. If you are interested in helping, please contact me by email at jmcnicol@prn.bc.ca. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

We want the Graduation ceremony to be a memorable experience for graduates, their families and guests. Please find attached a brief description of events and important dates and times. Also, please make sure that your graduate comes to the office to record their height for a gown and confirm their mailing address if they still need to do so.

GRAD 2026

Important – Parent and Student Volunteers are needed this year more than ever! Here is some
important graduation information. Please add the important dates to your calendar.

GRAD REHEARSAL: Attendance is mandatory. North Peace Arena on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 3:30pm. Grads will be taken through the ceremony proceedings and receive their gowns. The rehearsal will take approximately 1½ hours.

GRAD BBQ: This will take place immediately after rehearsal on Thursday, June 18, at 5:30 pm on the patio at NPSS. There will be music, food and drinks. This event is for grads and staff only.

GRAD DECORATING: We need as many volunteers as possible to help decorate the NP Arena. A signup form will be shared with interested volunteers. Please contact Ms. McNicol if you can assist with decorating.

GRAD GOWNS: Students must submit their height to Becky Tetreault using the Google Form shared with grads as soon as possible to ensure they receive the correct gown size. Gowns will be handed out at the grad rehearsal and must be returned immediately following the grad ceremony.

GRADUATION DAY: Friday, June 19, 2026. Grads MUST be at the Field House with their gown on by 12:30pm. Grads are reminded NOT to bring purses, backpacks, makeup, coats, cameras, or presents. We will collect all the gowns at the arena right after the ceremony. Under no circumstance are the gowns to leave the arena. NPSS staff have to send the gowns back to the rental company after the ceremony. Please wear appropriate clothing under the gowns. The graduation ceremony starts promptly at 1:30 pm.

GRAND MARCH: 8:00 pm at the NP Arena on the same day as the Graduation Ceremony, followed by a brief dance. Grads and parents should arrive at the arena by 7:30 p.m. and start to line up around the top of the arena. There will be lots of people there to assist you.

GRAD FEES: Please check with the office to ensure that all your school fees and Grad Fees are up to date.
For anyone wishing to donate their caution fee refunds towards athletic sports, scholarships, students with financial needs, or school programs of your choice, please contact the main office at 250-785-4429 or email npss@prn.bc.ca.

MAILING ADDRESS: Please contact the school to ensure we have your child’s updated mailing address, as we will be sending out the diplomas, caution fee refund cheques and any other items that may have been left behind.

BABY PHOTOS: Please send six baby/childhood photos of your graduating student for the grad slideshow through email to Becky Tetreault at rtetreault@prn.bc.ca in jpeg format, or simply bring in pictures, and we will scan them here at the office no later than May 21.
