Help us plan for the future – tell us about your child’s education experience. Students in Grades 10 and 12, their parents and all staff in B.C. public schools are invited to participate in an annual online satisfaction survey about their school experience.

Npss student, Ally Peever, is a Senior Alternate student here at NPSS who has become a champion for social justice! Taking the lead in many social change initiatives, Ally was the driving force behind our 2018 Christmas campaign,

Parents wishing to learn more about Cyberbullying, Teen Vaping, and Wellness are encouraged to visit the Healthy Schools BC website!

The grad fees ($70) for 2018-2019 are DUE on/before April 30th. We also need ALL grads to register their height at the office for their gown size! As this process takes a while to coordinate, we are going to have a fun lottery for those who get their fees/sizes into the office sooner to help out the office staff!

On Wednesday, April 10th, NPSS students and staff will be participating in a lockdown drill. This will be the last scheduled drill for the 2018-2019 school year.

Please find attached a copy of a parent/guardian letter from Northern Health regarding a recently announced Immunization Catch-Up Program.  Please keep posted for more specific plans as they develop over the upcoming weeks.

In memory of the Humboldt Bronco fatal bus crash which happened April 6th, 2018, NPSS will be hosting” Jersey Friday” on April 5th to show support for the families and friends of those who lost their lives.

In order to graduate in June, all Grade 12 students must complete, for 4 credits, the Grad Transitions Program. To receive the 4 credits, students are required to complete 8 assignments in addition to filling out their DPA (Daily Physical Activity) online from September to June.  April 12th is the cut-off for Term 3 and all Grade 12’s should try to have 6/8 assignments (plus all DPA up to March) completed.  The final cutoff for ALL GT material is June 18th!

Please note that NPSS will be closed from March 18th – 29th for Spring Break. Classes will resume on Monday, April 1st.
