This is an important reminder to all students who graduated in June and are planning to attend post-secondary in the fall (September 2019) that you must complete your PSI form before July 12th or your admission status could be impacted. This process gives the ministry permission to send your official transcript to the school you will be attending in the fall.

Summer and September – Planning Ahead!
With summer vacation time setting in for parents and students, we wanted to share some important information for the next few months:

Mr. Barry’s grade 12 physical education students invited a grade 5 class from R.O. for multiple days of sports activities.
NPSS Students Finish as Semi-Finalists for the Loran Scholarship
Congratulations to NPSS students Kobe Tulloch and Azaria Richards who were semi-finalists in the Loran Scholarship application process! The two went through an initial application process and were short-listed from thousands of students across the country and were invited to the semi-finalists round.
Healing Gardens Grand Opening
The Sr. Alt class held a ceremony on Wednesday to officially open the Peace Orchard and Healing Gardens. Ally Peever and Maddie Carter were the mc’s. They invited Elder Madeline Davis from Doig River First Nation to open the event with a prayer of thanks.
NPSS Grizzlies: June Update
Our Boys Rugby team was in Grande Prairie on Friday for a 7s tournament. The boys went undefeated – a great way to finish the season!Â
The Athletics Banquet on Thursday night recognized the successes of all of our sports teams.

NPSS Student Ranks in the top 25% in the Country
NPSS Student Arya Xu competed in the Euclid Math Contest and placed in the top 25% in the country! Congratulations Arya…we’re very proud of you!
Students plant an orchard at NPSS
NPSS staff and students are planting fruit and medicinal trees and bushes in front of the library today. The event originated from the Senior Alt class as part of their plans for community improvement. The orchard project is made possible by grants from Tree Canada,
My Strength is Not for Hurting
On Thursday NPSS students participated in the ‘My Strength is Not for Hurting’ violence against women campaign. Constable Neustaeter presented to the school on the signs of an unhealthy relationship, local statistics on violence, and what can be done to get help.
